? Who is eligible to receive OSAP funding?
Permanent residents, protected persons, and Canadian citizens are eligible for OSAP. International students, however, are not eligible.
? Can I apply for OSAP if I am not in good standing with OSAP?
If you have outstanding OSAP debts or have only recently resumed payments, your OSAP eligibility might be restricted. You would need official documents from OSAP to confirm your eligibility.
? Do I need to live in Ontario to apply for OSAP?
Yes, you must have lived in Ontario for at least 12 months before applying for OSAP.
? What happens if I’ve filed for bankruptcy?
If you have filed for bankruptcy, you are not eligible to receive OSAP funding.
? How is OSAP funding calculated?
OSAP funding is based on your tuition fees, the cost of books, and living expenses. The longer your course, the more funding you might receive.
? Does my marital status affect how much OSAP funding I receive?
Yes, your marital status affects your living expense calculation. Single students receive the minimum amount, while married students’ funding is based on their combined income with their spouse.

? Can I apply for OSAP if I am an international student?
